- QuestionI want to schedule an appointment. When are you available?
- AnswerWe prefer to schedule appointments by phone because our availability can change so quickly. Give us a call at 334.826.7502 and we can check our availability for the date and time you prefer, schedule your appointment, and confirm everything for you in just a couple of minutes.
- QuestionAre you available in the evening, on a Saturday or a holiday?
- AnswerWe prefer to schedule your appointment during our normal office hours so that we can spend time with our families during our off hours. We understand that this is not always possible, so we are open on some Saturdays. If you have a special circumstance and need an appointment in the evening or on a holiday, please call and discuss it with us. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs.
- QuestionHow is the quality of your portraits? There are so many new photographers out there and the quality of their prints is not always what I expect from a professional.
- AnswerOur portraits are printed to the highest quality standards available in our industry. We use professional grade photographic paper (we NEVER sell in-jet prints) printed by the finest craftsmen in the industry. Many photographers have your pictures printed at the cheapest place they can find. Some even use the local drug store or discount mart. Others print their own on an ink-jet printer. We believe that your portraits deserve better. All of our images are professionally retouched, adjusted and printed to our exacting standards, coated with UV protection, hand packaged, and ready to become cherished heirlooms.
- QuestionHow much do your portraits cost? I can't find a price list.
- AnswerMost photographers consider it to be "poor taste" to post a price list on-line so we have chosen not to post our prices here. We can, however, mail you our price list. Just use the "contact us" link above to send us your postal mailing address and mention that you need a price list. Be sure to tell us what type of photography you need (wedding, child's portrait, senior portrait, etc). You can also pick up a price list at our studio.
We are moderately priced among other "Professional" studios. We offer several packages under $200. Keep in mind, there are many other factors to consider when choosing a photographer besides price. Just like many other industries, in photography, you tend to "get what you pay for." - QuestionWhat is a "Session Fee?"
- AnswerLike most photographers, Moore Studios charges a "session fee" to have your portraits taken. Some studios call this a "sitting fee" or a "creation fee." This charge pays for the photographer's time and effort to create your images. It does not apply to your portrait order. Session fees vary depending on what type of portraits you are having created, the location, and the amount of time required.
- QuestionCan we see our portraits on-line?
- AnswerWe have chosen to show your portraits using a special system in our studio. We feel that this is the best way for you to make your selections. It enables us to insure that you are viewing a screen that is color-corrected and adjusted properly for your portraits. It also enables us to make suggestions and answer any questions you have about ordering. Because of these and other reasons, we have chosen not to place images on-line for viewing at this time. We are constantly reviewing the available options and considering alternatives but at this time we feel that this is the best policy for our studio and the majority of our clients.
